Cookie Policy

This policy explains how flentique.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside the privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

What this policy covers

A cookie is a small file that flentique.com stores on your browser so the site can work the way you expect between pages and visits. This page sets out the categories we use, the reason each one exists, who else may place them, and the controls you have. The rules below apply to the website only. Personal data handled by our accounting platform and client work is covered separately by the privacy policy.

Nothing here changes the terms of any service agreement, and nothing here is a request for consent you cannot withdraw. Most browsers let you review and remove stored cookies at any time, and the sections below explain what stops working if you do.

What cookies are

Small files that let a site remember you

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information between pages or visits, such as your preferences or whether you have completed a form. Similar technologies, including local storage, work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy.

They are not programs. A cookie cannot read other files on your device, cannot run code, and cannot identify you on its own. It carries a small amount of information that your browser sends back to the site when it loads a page, which is how a site keeps track of a choice you already made.

Cookies we use

Three kinds, each with a job

We keep the list short and the reason for each entry clear. Everything the site stores falls into one of the three categories below.

Strictly necessary

Required to run the site. They keep a session active while you move between pages and support form submission, so an enquiry reaches us once rather than twice. These cannot be switched off from within the site, because the pages that matter stop working without them.

Functional

Remember a preference you have already set, such as a display choice, so you are not asked again on every page. Removing them is harmless to the core pages, but the site may forget what you chose.

Analytics

Where analytics are used, they help us understand which pages are visited and how visitors move through the site. Analytics data is used in aggregate and not to identify individuals. It tells us where a page loses readers or where a guide would help, and nothing more personal than that.

Why we use them

Keeping the site working, then improving it

Cookies allow the site to function correctly and help us improve it. Without strictly necessary cookies, forms may not submit and preferences may not be retained. Analytics cookies inform decisions about content and navigation.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of visitors. There is no cookie on this site that follows you to other websites to sell you something, and we do not pass visitor data to advertising networks.

Third-party cookies

Set by providers who support the site

Some cookies may be set by service providers who support the site, such as hosting or analytics providers. These providers process data under their own policies, and a provider's cookie is only readable by that provider rather than by us.

We choose providers that limit data use to the service they provide to us. When we add or replace a provider, the list of cookies on this page is updated with it.

Managing cookies

Your browser is where the control sits

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies entirely, block third-party cookies, or delete existing ones. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working, including the enquiry form.

Blocking everything

The public pages still load, but a form submission may fail silently and any preference you set is forgotten on the next page.

Blocking third parties

A common middle setting. The site keeps working, and cookies placed by hosting or analytics providers are refused.

Deleting stored cookies

Clears what is already on your device. Sites start fresh the next time you visit, and any saved preference is removed with it.

Changes to this policy

One current version, always on this page

We may update this policy if our use of cookies changes. The current version is published on this page, so the text you are reading is the version in force. A change in the categories above, or a new provider placing cookies on the site, is the kind of event that triggers an update.
